Export Reporting Requirements
This webinar is designed to provide exporters with an understanding of their responsibilities for reporting their export information through the Automated Export System. It reviews the newly proposed changes to the Foreign Trade Regulations, explores the differences between routed exported transactions and standard exports, and discusses how to resolve AES fatal errors. The speakers also provide tips on how to avoid penalties and minimize errors.

In these positions, he worked on regulatory matters pertaining to the Foreign Trade Regulations, the collection of Electronic Export Information, voluntary self-disclosures, and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Mitigation Guidelines.
Currently, he is the president of an export and import consulting firm, International Trade Advisors, helping exporters and freight forwarders stay compliant with U.S. export regulations. He also works with law firms as an export trade advisor. This free tool provided by the government is used by approximately 12,000 filers to report their shipments for an estimated value of $60 billion monthly. He also leads presentations and outreach events for English – and Spanish -speaking members of the trade community on how to properly file the required export data according to the Foreign Trade Regulations and Automated Export System compliance practices.
Eric led the testing, outreach, and training initiatives related to the transition of the legacy AESDirect applications into the Automated Commercial Environment. His contributions to the release of the new system made him worthy of receiving the Department of Commerce's highest distinction, its Gold Medal, in 2016.
