With more than 13 years of industry experience, Julie has led initiatives across export controls, sanctions compliance, product regulatory compliance, and fraud prevention. Prior to joining Skill Dynamics, she spent over a decade at DigiKey, where she developed compliance programs, led cross-functional initiatives, and created training that helped embed compliance into everyday business operations. Her experience includes the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), OFAC sanctions, denied party screening, and risk-based compliance program development. Julie is a published author and frequent contributor on trade compliance topics, with articles focusing on export controls, compliance culture, and practical approaches to managing regulatory risk. She is passionate about translating complex regulations into practical knowledge that compliance professionals can apply immediately. Julie holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of North Dakota and is a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
