Course Summary:

This Security Clearance Refresher Training course is designed to reinforce the responsibilities of cleared employees to safeguard classified materials. Definitions of confidential, secret, and top-secret classification; ways to protect this information; and marking and reporting requirements are covered.

The training provides examples of different tactics that pose threats to these safeguards and offers specific methods of protecting information for purposes of visits and meetings within the context of information systems.

Learning Objectives:

  • Outline and reinforce security concepts, such as classification levels, employee safeguarding obligations for classified materials, reporting requirements, classified meetings, and marking protocols.
  • Satisfy the DSS refresher training requirements as stipulated in NISPOM – Chapter 3, Section 1, Part 3-108.

Target Audience:

Personnel – such as engineers, technicians, researchers, developers, and trade compliance personnel – involved in conducting jurisdiction and classification determinations

Target Audience:

  • All cleared U.S. defense contractor employees with a personal clearance.
  • Salaried employees who work at a FOCI-mitigated facility.
  • Targeted foreign person employees with a need-to-know as designated by the Facility Security Officer.
